Rule 5 – No loaded questions

Samples of writing, whether for critique, self-promotion, or general sharing, may only be posted in the weekly winspirit login self-promotion and critique thread. Requests for writing partners may also only be posted in the critique thread. Requests for school help should be posted in r/homeworkhelp, including posts about school essays or citations. Please do not submit articles that are already covered by submissions currently in r/technology. Please doublecheck reddit.com/r/technology/new to make sure the topic you’re submitting is unique. Any thread which violates reddit’s site-wide rules or invokes a witch-hunt is not allowed in r/news.

Submissions must be about technology

These include inappropriate or inflammatory comments, personal attacks, etc. Opinion and analysis should go in r/Foodforthought or another relevant subreddit. This includes articles with editorial opinion, personal conjecture, or otherwise. Press releases with an editorial slant, and analysis of news events (rather than reporting on the event itself) are not allowed.

Videographer jobs

AMAs may not be posted without mod approval. We prefer subjects be part of the wider writing industry or have done something more than publish a book. This rule is in relation to already submitted stories which are being rehashed on multiple domains. If a popular story is being submitted while the same event is covered in another post on the front page, or one with sufficient upvotes at an earlier date, it may be subject to removal. If a story was already submitted but did not become popular, then the rule is not applicable.

Regardless of what you think about a person, this type of discourse is unwelcome on r/news and we will not hesitate to remove you for it. Don’t plug other subreddits in the title; adding cross-post references is not suitable for r/news. This is your cue to stop scrolling on reddit and go write your book. Continue that one scene, even if you don’t know what words to put next. Articles with supporting image and video content are allowed; if the text is only there to explain the media, then it is not suitable.

Internet vigilantism and doxxing will not be tolerated. You are advised to abide by reddiquette; it will be enforced when user behavior is no longer deemed to be suitable for a technology forum. Remember; personal attacks, directed abusive language, trolling or bigotry in any form, are therefore not allowed and will be removed.
